Technical Article Abstract The AERx® technology produces low-velocity, small-particle aerosols ideal for efficient deposition of drug into the lung with minimal drug deposition in the mouth and throat. Liquid drug formulations are aerosolized utilizing a two component system: a single-use disposable packet (the AERx® Strip™) and a hand-held durable AERx® device. Each strip includes its own aerosol nozzle array, assuring superior aerosol performance each and every time the patient inhales medication from the system.  Our AERx devices also have built-in features that assist the patient to inhale the medication at the correct inhalation rate every time.  The combination of particle size precision and breath control results in outstanding reproducibility of delivery demonstrated in many human clinical trials with the AERx technology.
